Safe Towing
This course aims to increase the knowledge and safety of drivers who are responsible for driving a motor vehicle whilst towing a trailer or caravan. It is designed specifically for drivers who may have limited experience in trailer towing and maneuvering.
Course Content
This course is designed for drivers with limited or no experience in trailer towing and maneuvering who's goals are to improving their safety and skill.
The course will cover the following topics:
- Road Law & Towing limits
- Reversing & Maneuvering
- Defensive Driving with trailer limitations
- Cornering & Overtaking
- Trailer coupling & uncoupling
- Trailer loading
- Towing equipment & accessories
- Observation & planning skills
- Systematic driving skills
- Vehicle checks and basic maintenance (including trailer)
